Rural Transportation Advocacy 101 Workshop
SVMC hosted a Rural Transporation Advocacy 101 Workshop on June 13th, 2025

We invited elected officials, service providers and advocates from rural jurisdictions in King County to join this advocacy workshop. Every part of our streets, trails, and transit requires advocacy. Whether it’s a crosswalk, sidewalk, or bus stop, someone advocated for it! This workshop was designed for people who live or work in the Snoqualmie Valley and are interested in creating transportation solutions that meet the unique needs of our rural cities and towns. Participants learned about rural transportation advocacy and practiced skills to help support the community’s access to safe, sustainable, and equitable transportation.
